History

Computer Mechanix, Inc. was created in 2002 by Woody Feffer and Eric Jacobson in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville, North Carolina to provide on-site computer repair to businesses and home consumers in Buncombe County.  For over nine years we brought you some of the best onsite computer service in the country!

Starting in June of 2011 Computer Mechanix moved into it’s first retail location on the corner of Haywood Rd and Vermont Ave. in the heart of West Asheville.  We now split our time between onsite service and the shop where we can offer a multitude of more compelling services!

Our Hours

Computer Mechanix has available appointments from 9AM to 1:30PM, Tuesday through Friday. Appointments are available at: 9AM, 10:30AM and 12PM. We are available via telephone Monday through Saturday from 9am to 6pm. You can also make an appointment online by clicking here.  If you’d prefer to bring your computer in, you can drop off or sometimes even wait for your computer Tuesday through Friday 2PM to 6PM and Saturdays 12PM to 5PM.

Philosophy

We strive to provide outstanding customer service and a level of unparalleled support to all of our home and business customers. We believe that getting computer support should be as easy as making a phone call or clicking on a website link. We believe that customers should be able to stay in their home or business and have the technician come to the computer rather than the other way around.

Who We Are

Woody Feffer (CEO & Founding Partner) - Woody envisioned the concept for Computer Mechanix. He has managed computer support call centers, worked as a computer technician contractor, and optimized the efficiency and managed an international media sales company. He specializes in hardware problem diagnostics and hardware solution design as well as providing software problem support and diagnostics.

Eric Jacobson (Founding Partner) - Eric moved on from Computer Mechanix, Inc. in the spring of 2007. He now resides in Portland Oregon.
