After years of being avid listeners of National Public Radio (NPR) via Asheville's own WCQS (88.1FM) radio station, Eric Jacobson and Woody Feffer decided to begin supporting WCQS directly by making Computer Mechanix, Inc. an underwriter.

Starting on Monday, October 9, 2006, you can hear Computer Mechanix's underwriting message every Monday at 5:19PM on WCQS, 88.1 FM.

We're extremely proud to support our local NPR affiliate as we believe that NPR is a key element in providing news and entertainment to the national and local communities.
