When looking over our reviews here at Computer Mechanix, we know that it looks like we love every product we lay our hands on (especially with the lowest-rated product in our line-up currently being the 87% we gave to the Gigabyte GA-K8NS Ultra-939 motherboard).

The reason for this is simple: we are completely independent of any organization. We buy our own products. We use our own products. We test our own products. No company gives us free products or sways us with free goods.

We do our research and then buy the best products in the categories we're looking for.

This means when you read one of our reviews, you're getting the benefit of us spending painstaking hours researching everything there is to know about the products we end up buying.

We don't just use what companies send us -- we use products from companies that have a reputation for reliability and excellent craftsmanship. Then, we get the product and beat the ever-loving crap out of it to make sure it's a quality piece that we can recommend or not. The reason we don't end up with a lot (or any, for that matter) of products that we don't recommend is that we don't buy products we don't use. In addition, we don't end up with a "test product" that may have been tweaked to be a little more reliable. We buy our stuff from the same distributor that we buy our customers' stuff from.

So, when you read a Computer Mechanix review, you can be reassured that not only have we put the product you're reading about through a lengthy research process before trying it, we've also put it through its paces once it gets to us.
